Why is writing about yourself 1000% harder than writing a whole freaking book? Let's see, my name is Anya, and I am a voracious romance reader, the spicier the better. I picked up my first romance book by accident when I was twelve years old and going through my older sister's closet, as one does. It was a beat-up paperback hidden in the back in a shoebox with a shirtless cowboy and a pretty lady on the cover. I didn't understand much of the spice, but the overall romance story had me hooked, and the rest is history. It is a cliche, but very true in my case.

I am a LGBTQIA+ supporter and ally and enjoy volunteering with my local Free Mom Hugs chapter, freemomhugs.org. There is nothing more fulfilling than hugging someone who needs a maternal connection. When I’m not writing or giving hugs to strangers, I enjoy reading, old-school video games, board games, crocheting blankets and stuffies, and a good cup of tea. I live in one of the square states in the middle of the US with my husband and three mischievous and very spoiled Bengal kitties.

Over the years I have started and shelved several books until one afternoon at work, boredom sparked the creation of Undaunted. Sebastian and Aiden popped into existence and wouldn't leave me alone. I finally gave in and started plotting their story when they invaded my dreams several nights in a row. Writing their story was interesting because sometimes neither Sebastian nor Aiden would cooperate with the direction I was taking their story. I don't know if you have ever argued with a fictional character that you created, but it can be a mind-fuck. But at least my side wins with whatever outcome makes it to the page.
